Electric Vehicles (EVs), while holding a lot of promise for the future, are not yet mainstream vehicles for most people. As such, electric vehicle batteries are not manufactured and sold to the masses like regular car batteries are. For the most part, people who own electric vehicles will need to get a replacement battery from the dealer where they bought the vehicle. There are other options, too, and we’ll look at those in the following paragraphs.

Future Electric Vehicle Batteries 
All cars that operate solely from an electric battery have a few things in common. They’re all powered by an electric battery that is attached to a motor. The motor causes the wheels to run, thus generating forward or backward motion. Of course, the batteries themselves differ substantially based upon the type and size of vehicle into which they’re being placed, and the load stress they’re expected to endure. Of course, each battery type, whether Lithium Ion or Nickel Metal Hydride, has its specific uses and its own limitations.
